I wonder

The time is fastly approaching when my nephew will be here. I can't help but stop and think about how different it is going to be. Olivia will no longer be the only child, she will no longer have us ALL at her disposal. I know that she will never remember her time as the one and only but I always will.

It amazes me how much all our lives will change within the next month but we are ready and willing to have him come at any time. So Baby Paul feel free to meet us at anytime because we are all waiting for you, especially your sister, She is ready to plant kisses all over you.

Oh my olive, how much fun she has coming her way and she doesn't even know it yet :)

15 months

Dear love,
It is hard to believe that it has been 15 months since you graced the world with your presence. 15 months seems so little, yet I have known you since day one and now you are, well-- YOU. You are the epitome of beauty, silliness, sweetness, and love. I can't believe in just a few short months, your brother will be here with us and I cannot wait to see how you are with him. You have grown so much since your first birthday and do so many new things these days. Here are what you are up to these days:

-you know how to say buh-bye,go,kiiiy for kitty
-you put on your purse and wave goodbye to us, you can walk down the steps(mostly without help), you know how to tell us "shhh" when the kitty is sleeping, you run , and boogie to the sweet sounds of music. You climb your chairs, sit in a booster seat, you climb everything in sight, you love to vacuum. You know the sounds of a cow, monkey,and puppy. You stop to say hi to every puppy on our walk.
-you cuddle all your animals like babies and have recently started cuddling with us. You love to grab your binky from the freezer and walk to your room to point to your crib. You love Gertie.
-you like to color, love to be startled,love the sound of your own stomping on the kitchen tile, you love dirt and exploring the outdoors, you love stroller rides. You love sitting in boxes for some reason. You love playing ball. Bathtime is your fave. You love toy story3 and tangled.
- anything that isn't yours, must become yours. You love sitting at the sink and brushing your teeth. You know how to give besito and make kiss lips. Spaghetti and watermelon are your choice of food.
-you are cute and there is much much more.

I love you, lovebug and I look forward to a million more months of getting to see your personality grow.

It's times like these

There are days when I can't get enough of Olive and these past few days were those days. She was just adorable in her Cinco de Mayo dress. She is the epitome of perfection(in my eyes). Today, we sat and watched Toy Story 3. She sat on the floor with her water and cheddar bunnies while I laid behind her with my arm wrapped around her waist. It was a beauty to lay there and just relax with her. She let me massage her cute andouilles aka her toes. We sat there forever, Me with my arms around her just absorbing all her cuteness, her smiling as woody and buzz try to get back to Andy. It was pure perfection. Its hard to think, that someday, faraway, she will be an adult and our time like this will be a thing of the past. That's why the ending to toy story made me tear up. Spoiler: the gang sits there and waves goodbye to Andy as he drives off on his way to college. I realize that is going to be me someday. I will stand there and wave to her while she drives off to start her new adventure.

So I laid there with my eyes close, just feeling her breathe. I don't know of any auntie that has had this experience and maybe I am just one of the lucky few. I thank my sister and brother in law for this opportunity. For the opportunity of watching a newborn become an infant and then a toddler and so on.

So it's times like these that make me realize how much I love being an auntie to the little girl that sits there so sweetly and let's you cuddle...and also to the little girl who yells at you for not giving her the watermelon...it's love

Easter and an iphone

On Saturday, I received the greatest gift ...an IPHONE!!!!! I couldn't believe i was am the new owner of an iphone....pinch me I must be dreaming! That was my Easter gift from my niece, sister, and brother in law. Oh how marvelous it is but on to the talk about our Easter day. We went to visit my parents and siblings where we had the most delicious prime rib...yum! I made creamed spinach which was much easier than I thought and hid the eggs for everyone to find. This hiding of the eggs is harder than it seems. I mean you need to be really smart about where you hide them. We, of course, threw a few on the grass for Olivia to find since she cant really climb trees yet.

Gertie and Tangled

Lately, Olivia has been in love with the movie Tangled. She can sit and watch the entire movie if we allowed her to. I dont know what it is but she acts like everytime is the first time she is seeing it. We tried giving her variety and putting on Charlotte's web or Yo Gabba Gabba...but sadly no one makes her smile like Rapunzel. Maybe we will take her to Disneyland soon enough where she can meet the actual Rapunzel.

Birthday Fun!

Wisteria Lane and Nathan Fillion

Desperate Housewives. Probably one of my favorites shows ever. It has drama, drama, and even more drama.  Well, on Friday my sister surprised me with tickets to A Block Party on Wisteria Lane. We arrived Saturday, at Universal Studios (where Desperate Housewives is shot) and were taken on a tram to Wisteria Lane. On the Bus sitting next to me, Desiree, and Michelle was Nathan Fillion. He was so cute, tall, and muscular . We all drooled just a little bit. So began our uh-mazing night . We toured all the houses which was more fun for me and Desiree. (Michelle was there for only one reason: Nathan Fillion. ) The night was spectacular and so were the house. They look just like they do on tv. Eva Longoria's (Gaby's) house was so beautiful  and it was open for us to go inside. The most amazing of all the houses was Dana Delany's house in the show. I had a blast and was glad that my sister gave me the opportunity to walk on the set of the show. I acted like a total nerd most of the night and squealed with delight at the sight of every house. I got to meet, Dana Delany, Marcia Cross, and a few other celebrities. To say Desiree and I embarrassed Michelle is an understatement. We yelled like schoolgirls. I dont care. We had fun and Michelle got Nathan Fillion's autograph. Oh such a beautiful night to be among the  celebrities.
